We had Bayley from Goldfish Academy come in and run workshops across all year levels, plus a parent session in the evening. Straight away, you could tell he wasn’t just going through the motions, he spoke openly and honestly, and the students really listened.
He shared his own story, didn’t sugar coat things, and made the whole thing feel real. The students were engaged the whole time, and a bunch of them even stuck around during lunch just to keep chatting. That doesn’t happen often.
It’s not easy to get young people to reflect on their habits, but Bayley found a way to get through. The feedback’s been great, from both students and parents. If your school is trying to tackle screen time and digital addiction in a way that actually sticks. I’d definitely recommend bringing him in.

We recently had the pleasure of hosting the Goldfish Academy’s incursion on gaming and social media addiction and I cannot recommend this program highly enough. Bayley did an exceptional job in making tailored presentations to match a variety of age groups, with high engagement seen across students from Year 3 to Year 9.
Each presentation was interactive and Bayley used a variety of methods including physical movement, open discussions, videos and personal testimony to help students think deeply about the impact of social media and gaming on their lives. The sessions were both informative and thought provoking. Students were encouraged to reflect on their own habits and how they are impacting their mental health, relationships and overall wellbeing.
Overall, the Goldfish Academy’s incursion was an excellent experience for teachers and students alike and I would recommend it to any school looking to address these important issues in a relevant manner.
